You’ll get your book fast, too: We print books in as little as two days, so you could be holding your printed book in no time. Q Do you have book templates I can use?

Yes, we do. You can download free book templates from our Templates Page. We currently have templates for your inside pages, which can be used in Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Open Office, Pages, and just about any other popular word processing program. We also have free book cover templates available for Adobe inDesign. We also provide PDF cover templates that can be opened and used Photoshop and other design programs, or simply used as a reference for how to set up your cover.

Q How fast will I get my books?

Once online proofs are approved, we print and bind standard perfect bound (paperback) and saddle stitched books in 2 business days, and standard spiral coil bound or casebound (hard cover) books in 5 business days. You'll also want to factor in shipping time, which will be estimated for you once you enter your zip code into our instant cost calculator. We do offer expedited production (even same day service) and shipping if needed.

Note: some upgrades such as Printed Proofs, Diamond 3D covers, Foil Stamping, Tabs, Individual Shrink Wrapping, Freight Shipping, or IBSNs may increase production time. Click here for timing specifics.

With two 48 Hour Books locations, (Las Vegas, Nevada, and Twinsburg, Ohio) most printed books can arrive two business days after they ship (when shipped via UPS ground).

Contact our customer service team via email, phone, or online chat if you have a "need by" date, and we'll be happy to help you find the fastest and most cost-effective option for getting books when you need them! Q Do you offer cover design?

48 Hour Books offers both fully custom cover designs and create-a-cover templates. With our custom designs, our graphic designers work directly with you to create your own custom cover. If you prefer, we offer an array of design templates that are a great alternative to a custom cover. With this create-a-cover option, our designers will incorporate images and content provided by you into our existing layouts. Learn more here.

Q Do you offer ISBNs and barcodes?

Yes, we do! Your book doesn't have to have an ISBN, but if you're planning on selling it through major bookstores or online bookstores, you'll need one.

At 48 Hour Books, we bundle the ISBN with a barcode to save you money. Just download our ISBN Application Form (USA), fill it out, and email it back to us. (This is only for the United States and its territories. Canadian customers should get their ISBN through CollectionsCanada). A single ISBN & barcode is $125, a block of 10 ISBNs & barcodes is $450 ($45 each), a block of 100 ISBNs & barcodes is $2,000 ($20 each), and a block of 1,000 ISBNs & barcodes is $4,000 (just $4 each).

Be sure to order your ISBN before we set up your cover artwork, and don't approve your cover artwork if your barcode isn't on it. The ISBN process only takes a couple of hours, so in most cases it shouldn't effect your deadline. But if it does, we can always print your books without a barcode, and print barcode stickers that you can put on the books after you get your ISBN.
