I have spent almost 20-years leading sales team's selling SaaS and technology. Originally from Upstate NY, I began my career at 3M Company and have held many roles building and leading teams in both New York and the Boston, Massachusetts market.

I have set up sales teams for both start ups (TrueAdvantage, Companybook) and established organizations (Reed Business Interactive, OneSource/Avention, NetBrain Technologies). At each stop along the way I have learned that without a solid game plan to establish a sales process for new reps entering your organization, your ability for a fast start and continued success will be limited.

Everyone loves a good cheeseburger. And when you are really hungry a cheeseburger on its own can be really good. But I think it’s the ketchup that makes it even better!

There are many sales people who are doing some really good selling. Over the last 20-years, I have led many sales teams and have come up with many techniques and processes that have worked more often than not. I have learned from many great minds and have been fortunate enough to have been exposed to many different software offerings and solutions, many from their infancy, (…. Within the following chapters are my experiences as well as how you as a sales person or a leader can become better at your craft by following some simple steps and utilizing some simple programs that make life a bit easier in the professional selling world.

My goal was to summarize all that I have come across over these years and give you the opportunity to tap into my success and maybe make some of it your own. I will also discuss some of the different sales software that is available to you. There are new offerings coming out seemingly every day. With the onslaught of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, companies like DataHug, Conversica, LeadSpace and countless others, can potentially help you accomplish much of what I am soon to outline in the chapters ahead.
