When self-publishing a book, you want to consider your options for a book binding service. 48 Hour Books offers a variety of book binding techniques, from hardcover, case bound to perfect bound, soft cover versions, as well as spiral binding and saddle stitched.
We do all of our binding in-house. We control the quality, and we can do it quicker than printers who send books out for binding.
48 Hour Books has several high-capacity perfect binders, state-of-the-art casebinding equipment for hardcover books and several high-speed punches for spiral coil binding.
We print and bind your book exactly the way you want it, in the quantity you prefer.
Case bound books are beautiful and classic and can be paired with a dust jacket, if preferred. While we offer a variety of cover options, our standard hardcover is printed in full-color, laminated, and adhered to a heavy, warp-resistant book board. Our hardcover books are bound with PUR adhesive, the strongest adhesive available for book binding.
Softcover books are very popular, since they’re easy to transport and more cost-effective to print than hardcover. Our paperback, soft cover books use PUR adhesive on the spine to hold the pages together.
A spiral binding provides a flexible, portable book with pages that lay flat when open. Our durable plastic coil comes in several vibrant options to match your book.
Saddle-stitching is a cost-effective method for books with low page counts. Saddle-stitching uses a stapled spine, producing a slim, portable book.
